We are considering a job offer in Kelowna. It would be at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort.  We will rent for at least the first year and then if we decide we would like to make it our home long term we will buy something.

We would like suggestions on what neighbourhoods would be a nice place to live and work at the Delta. We would like to keep the drive to a max of 20 minutes if possible and hopefully not in a mess of traffic. I hear some areas of Kelowna are quite bad for the traffic.

The ideal situation would be to rent a condo (preferably a newer one, or at least around 5 years old or newer)  As a female I would like to be in an area where I feel safe to go out for walks and it would be a great location if I could go a runs right from the condo. A view from the condo would be an extra bonus, but not absolutely necessary.

Once I know of some areas to look at I can start to get an idea of what kind of rent prices I would be looking at. If anyone wants to throw out an example of a 2 bdrm condo rent price, with in suite laundry, newer building, balcony, etc. please feel free.
